The smile that you readily offered whenever we needed some cheer, comfort or encouragement in our lives. The smile that you wore even as you were straining and pushing yourself to the limits of your physical ability.
We will always remain in awe of the fierce passion with which you lived your life. In everything that you did, you committed your entire heart and soul. The word “surrender” simply did not exist for you.
We will always admire your insatiable drive to challenge yourself. You never ceased to strive to go stronger, faster and further. You did not win every race that you competed in. But that was not the point. You finished each and every one with your head held high. You taught us what it was to have the courage to be the Man in the Arena.
We would like to think that you have crossed the finish line first in our race towards God’s kingdom and that you are watching over us from above with that gentle smile on your face.
You will always have a special place in our hearts and will always be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving son and a great friend.
Whenever we tire along our journey through life, let us always be inspired to fight our challenges, to never surrender and to live as passionately as you did, each and every day of our lives.
