This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Sylvester who was born in Singapore on November 03, 1967 and moved to Heaven on December 24, 2004 at the age of 37.
For those who had known and shared moments with him, would know that Sylvester has a great passion for life. He fully explored his potential, especially in the area of sports and his profession. He strived to excel in each event, withholding nothing in him. To him, winning would be a bonus, but trying was the point.
Sylvester is a man who understood the precious gift of redemption from our Lord. He surrendered his all to our loving Father.
"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun." John Newton
Sylvester had run the race set before him well, in the roles of a husband, a son, a brother, a friend and mostly, a child of God.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want, He maketh me lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anoinest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." Psalms 23
We love and remember you, Sylvester; death does not have the scissors to cut the cords of Love

Farewell, my friend. / Roy Yeo (Friend)
This might have come late but I never was any good at this. Rest in peace, Syl. Just because I've been silent all this while doesn't mean you haven't been in my thoughts. You're missed. |
